For the third consecutive year, I’m doing this again. Not going to bother explaining myself why I’m doing this, I just think it really contributes a lot to my growth as a person, a human being, Allah’s humble servant, a daughter, a girlfriend, a bestfriend and yes, the list goes on.
1.What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?
Last year, the first thing that came to my mind was something ntums related and this year, its the same thing. Except maybe, being in an OE team to China meant so much more than just a programmer in some sports event. To you, I may not have changed in any aspect at all, but believe me, the trip made me go through so many awe inspiring moments I can’t even describe the magnanimity of it with words. The experience was so imperceptible, far beyond just a trip for charity, it was a trip I can confidently say, I will never forget for the rest of my life.
I jumped onto the Kdrama bandwagon. To be honest, I thought it was going to be just a phase, but hey, I am staring at a paused screen of Lee Min Ho right now, so nope, this phase ain’t going nowhere.
First trip to Seoul with my parents. It was amazing. As much as I love shopping, I think traveling is definitely the second best thing I’d love to be doing (but these two are quite interconnected so I might say the combination of shopping+traveling is the best thing ever heheh)

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions and will you make more for next year?
Again, no resolutions. Still think that life goes on fine and even, awesome without it. (last year’s answer though in a way, all year round, my subconscious mind kept reminding me to be a better muslim and rise above when facing trying and difficult times)
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My aunt! Omg, I was extremely elated because after 22 years of marriage, she conceived Rafie! Isn’t that amazing? I mean, I’m not surprised because anything is possible when Allah wants it to be but really, it was truly a miracle and a happy year for our family, I believe 
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thank God, no.
5. What countries did you visit?
South Korea
China

6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
I still do not practice an active lifestyle, I seldom run or go to the gym, ah such disappointment. So yes, I wish to make it a regular occurrence in my daily life. Sleep. If its true that your life span shortens everytime you lose sleep, oh gosh I don’t wanna know. Be more God-fearing.
7. What exact date(s) from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
21/11/2011; our 5th year anniversary. I was in Korea and we were wishing each other Happy Anniversary and I thought to myself, I never want to know what it feels like to not have him around. I have a high pain threshold but to lose him is just an extremely scary thought.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
SgHijabGirl. It isn’t much but I truly enjoy doing something I love. I don’t find it a chore at all and maybe there were times where I was absent from it but it was never because I got sick and tired of doing it, it was just you know, other more important commitments that I had to prioritise.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I can’t think of any. 2011 was a really really great year for me and despite a few hiccups here and there, I’d never describe any of it as a form of failure on my part.
10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
In China, I was sick for a long long loooong time and to top it all off, middle ear infection by the end of the trip. Safe to say, it was the worst illness I’ve ever felt. Pain x 1000 mans. I remember popping painkillers like crazy and crying everytime it got so bad. I will be forever grateful to the people who took care of me, my OE buddy and my other team mates. Doubt that I could ever repay all the things they’ve done for me :’)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Canon DSLR. I am definitely a Canon convert now. My Oly sits in the drybox and stares at me longingly all the time. I’m sorry Oly.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Lots.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
More of appalled than depressed but I’d rather not say.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Clothes and Cosmetics and Skincare Products. Haha! Girly vainpot.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Travelling again, with my parents. Getting my iMac and going omgosh what have I been missing all this while.
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Stereo love, edward maya ft vika jigulina. On my iMac alone, this song was played 330 times can you believe it? Doesn’t even count the times I blasted it on Aman’s Blackberry, my iPod omg.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?
Happier, fo sho.
ii. thinner or fatter?
Fatter in terms of size but thinner in terms of weight. Haha!
iii. richer or poorer?
Hmm, poorer I guess since there’s no more monthly pay from m/o/e but insyAllah, money will never be a problem and I hope it remains that way.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Same answer as last year’s. Read the Quran. Take more pictures, I used to document my everyday life in pictures! I must have been so free back then. Less Mcdonalds, more Mcrunning, Mcexercising, Mccrunches hahahaha! (copy paste last year’s answer lol)

Assuming not so nice things about people and then regretting cos turns out, they’re super lovely.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas at a friend’s wedding and catching up with my practicum buddies

Fell in love in 2006. Still loving the same person in 2011
23. How many one-night stands?
None. Should probably just delete this question since I’m gonna do this every year and the answer will 100% be the same every year until I get married. (copy paste)
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Obviously, Gossip Girl ftw and Grey’s Anatomy. I could watch Grey’s over and over again and never get bored. Similarly, Chuck and Blair scenes will never, ever bore me. (copy paste)
Maybe I should add, Personal Taste (LEEMINHO!!) and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. (HAHA told ya this chick went crazy over Kdramas!)
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Hate is too strong a word.
26. What was the best book you read?
Surprisingly, I didn’t discover any good books this year. Probably cos I was too busy to be even reading one. Though I re-read the entire Shopaholic Series and I am not ashamed to say that it is my favourite series, ever! I can read it a million times and still laugh like crazy.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Adele. I wouldn’t say its discovery cos I’ve known about her before but this year, I fell head over heels in love with her voice. Ooh and Lana Del Ray since her song Video Games was featured in one of Chuck&Blair’s most awesome heartbreaking scenes this season.
28. What did you want and get?
Everything and anything I can’t even list down what it is.
29. What did you get and not want?
Unwanted bad press. Haha!
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows. I’ve always been a fangirl ever since Primary school so can you imagine the overwhelming feeling when the credits roll and you go, omg everything that I’ve shipped all this while, it’s goneeeeee (ya I know exaggerating max)
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Twenty One. During fasting month, so nope, no celebration. Birthday cake, iMac and roses from my parents. Terawih
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Studying harder would have pulled my gpa up higher. I am still thankful though.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Wooooooooo, I don’t know. More bold? I really tried out lots of different combinations hehe.

Aiyah, I don’t know. I get so angry all the time when I read the papers especially when it involves a Muslim country and a Western one, I think I’ve become numb.

Give alms to the poor. Zakat. Be generous to everyone around you, whether deserving or not. InsyAllah, Allah will grant you reward (not only monetary) in this life and the hereafter.
