I hope you’re reading this after buka time. If not, then from the bottom of my heart, I apologize profusely. Heheh.Photobucket

I was craving for these gong gongs. To be honest, I still cannot understand how I could crave for something I’ve never tasted before. Anyways, it has a really interesting texture and flavor. I haven’t decide on whether I like it or not, its just weird…similar to escargot but not quite. I think I prefer clams.

You can never go wrong with ikan pari bakar. Really. Terbaik! (I’ve adopted this terbaik slang lately. HAHA. Its really Malaysian but I like it. Huhuhu)

CHILLI CRAB. Apparently, this dish is THE dish foreigners hunt for when they land in Singapore. My parents loved it so much but I found the eggy taste a bit disturbing.
PhotobucketMY ALL TIME FAVOURITE. Cereal Prawns. Oh the fragrant of the curry leaves intertwine with the slight hint of chill paid and the texture of the crispy crunchy oats in your mouth. TERBAIK TIMES ONE MILLION. HAHAHAHAHA I should really stop with this terbaik word I know.

Love you times infinity ibu&ayah :)

If you plan to buka there, I recommend stall #46. It can get quite chaotic when every stall owner is shoving their respective menus in your face, so yeah, my mother loved the food from that stall andddd she’s a tough critic when it comes to food :)

xoxo, Nadia!

Oh holidays are just..sheer bliss. I swear. There is no feeling in a student’s world that can beat the joy of pure nothingness during these few precious holiday months. You can go to sleep late, wake up late, lie down and just stare at the ceiling for an hour, watch tonnes of television until you can feel the warmth generated from the tv, stare at your laptop screen for hours watching all the movies you’ve missed when you were busy rushing to hand in your assignments and studing for exams, so yes, holidays are the bestest thing to ever happen in a student’s life. Heehee.

I’ve been out and about but today’s my rest day. I baked chocolate cupcakes today topped with dark chocolate ganache. YUM.

For my mother’s birthday dinner, we went to Arab St cos my parents suddenly craved for middle eastern food, so yeah, we ended at this pretty quaint Turkish restaurant.

I loveeeeeeeeeeeee Baklava! When my mother went to Umrah a few years ago, she brought back some baklava given by her friend living there and I was sold. It is super crispy on the outside, and then when you sink your teeth in, its so soft and all the honey just oozes out, plus the crunchiness of the bits and pieces of pistachios oooooo its really difficult not to love this sweet dessert. Unless, if you don’t have a sweet tooth then um okay, you’re really missing out ok! :D So, of course I ordered it! Heheh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IBU! :) She’s super funny and merepek, I swear. Yesterday, I accompanied her to a wedding nearby and she said, Nadia, if we want to catch the bus, we have to run max to the boom! HAHAHAHAHAHA cannot take it. She wanted to step happening and use the term TO THE MAX but yeah, I guess she forgot and just anyhow add the boom. Where did the boom come frommmmmm?! :D

<3 my dad times infinity times infinity. I iz a daddy’s girl, in case you din’t know huhuhuhu.

I ordered some Turkish Mint Tea. So worth it, one pot was more than enough for the three of us.

I ordered Lamb Shank. HAHA macam paham right eat lamb shank. It was super hugeeeee in the end, I gave it to my dad HAHA.

Some kebab on a sword huhu dunno what’s the name. It was super delicious though.

HI BAKLAVA. Okay, the thing is, um, their Baklava not nice la! Super disappointed :( :( Its supposed to be quite thick and crispy but theirs was soggy and they just sprinkled some powder-like pistachio substance so meh, not nice.

Walked around Marina Bay Sands…

Okay off to continue watching The Adjustment Bureau and munch on cupcakes! Bye! (^ . ^)

Yes, I seem to be on a eat-and-be-merry roll! Hohoho. Only one day after the makan makan at my aunt’s, my dad brought us to Carousel for lunch! I can never, ever, ever get sick of Carousel’s lunch spread. I’ll go row by row, starting with the sashimi and sushi and ending at the final row, the dessert counter for my creme bruleeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hehe um, I don’t even dare to weigh myself now because I feel so gemok :/ what more with all my aunts commenting that I’ve put on weight and all -.- NVM LA I don’t care for now, as long as I’m healthy and not obese then its fineeeeeeeeeee with me :D

FAVOURITE PLACE IN SINGAPORE HAHA. I couldn’t resist the creme brulee, by the time I’m done with my second plate, I went straight to get them. MMMM.

I especially like when I scoop in, and the burnt sugar on top crackles. Oh so lovely.

and within seconds, ITS GONE! :D

I <3 my parents to infinity and beyond :)

OKAY I’M FEELING VERY HUNGRY NOW. HAHA SERVES ME RIGHT.

Much love, Nadia!
