my typical morning

My mornings before I go to school usually comprises of me doing these things. Every single morning. Without fail.

I say Hi to my iMac because it gets me going/keeps me awake/prevents me from falling back to sleep.

Turn on some music, whatever I feel like listening to on that particular morning. Usually depends on what type of mood I wake up to. This was on Monday, so I needed some cheering-me-up-to-get-through-the-week music.

I make myself some mixture of coffee+cream+sugar. Its never fixed, it tastes different every time. Plonk some grapes and a slice of bread and chomp chomp while checking my mail and stuff.

Oh yeah, I like my room gloomy and dark in the morning. When I decide that its time for me to really wake up and get going, I pull the curtains and then, my day really begins.

 OMGOSH HOW I MISS DOCUMENTING MY DAYS. Gonna do more of this soon!

The other day, during Professional Development time, a teacher shared this video with all of us. I was struggling to hold back my tears but seriously man, waterworks . You’ve got to watch this. Amazing.

I know to a lot of people, I seem to have it all together. I get comments of that nature every other time and I often disagree because its just a natural habit that I compare myself with those who are more fortunate. On the other hand, when you see your life from a different perspective, especially when compared with those who have only 5% of what you own, then I start to think of my favourite verse from my favourite surah.

Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

Funny how this video got me thinking.

Ever since we were in Secondary school, my girlfriends and I have never failed to catch Harry Potter together. Though this time, turnout was rather bad, just the 4 of us since its really really close to impossible to get everyone to be available on the same day. What with work, school, and our respective commitments, le sigh, this is it. Adult life. Gone were the days where we’ll be like, okay let’s go this weekend! Ah, but life goes on. Though it was just the four of us, it was really lovely. As usual, we always smuggle outside food. It’s really becoming a tradition y’know, this smuggling habit. This time, I smuggled in some Coke Float, 2 boxes of Chocolate Melts and Twister Fries! and somehow, my bag’s always the one doing the smuggling for them! Why ahhhh? Haha!

I want to wax lyrical about Harry Potter….but that shall be in another special entry. Heheh.

I hung out for awhile with them at Pizza Hut before making my way back. It was great, updating a bit here and there but then I had to leave..

But as usual, I wouldn’t be Nadia if I didn’t make a pitstop at the Chanel counter =D =D =D

Hello my outfit of the day!

I don’t know what little kids who believe in Santa feel when they unwrap their presents on Christmas morning but I think this is real close. Oh, the joy! I loveeeee how they wrap the items in white Chanel imprinted paper, delicately secured with ribbons. Black and white has never, looked this good. I got the Rouge Allure in Comedia. I didn’t want anything too dramatic or too pale, so I chose this nude pink color, suitable for everyday use, me thinks

and the Vitalumiere Eclat Compact Powder in Beige-Tendre. Definitely wins in term of packaging too, how can you ever resist this sexy thing? 

I just realised that I sound like a girl who just fell in love with a guy. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Okay enough, now back to China entries please!
